Its soft and warm touch makes it particularly suitable to be in contact with food. Designed by nature, this bamboo straw is a great step away from the damage caused by the single-use plastic straws. Bamboo Step straws are made from carefully selected culms of solid bamboo, sanitized and cured through a fully natural process. The Bamboo Step Straw origin: Bamboo Step straws were developed on the island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, where they are still manufactured. This product was created to appeal to the high-end holiday resorts that are present in great number on the island. In this context, we had to offer a Premium quality straw, which would be healthy, look great and offer an excellent drinking experience. The product also had to be certified under hygiene and safety requirements for food contact materials. (Testing Body SGS - Test Report No VNHL1812017063HG -12/2018). Since the beginning of the project in 2016, our partners in the hospitality industry have already avoided the use and littering of Millions of plastic straws on the island only. These are a great number of straws that won’t be found on our beaches… Manufacturing the Straws: The manufacturing process is Natural, Simple and low in Energy. The concept of our bamboo straws is sustainability from the farming to the hands of the final user and eventually to the ground where they will fully composte. The straws are made by hand. The sanitation standards and the Know-how of Bamboo Step lead to a healthy product, with no taste and a great quality. 2 Lines of Bamboo Straw products are now available: The " SIGNATURE " Line is the original By Bamboo Step. With its unique aesthetic, this straw brings together design and sustainability. The skin of the bamboo has been removed to reveal the familiar fibre pattern of the bamboo wood. The " Bamboo MOVE " Line concept is about Simplicity & Quality. Less process is involved to create this Natural Looking straw. Maintenance: After each use, clean with warm soapy water, or place in a dishwasher. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to fully dry in the air. Store in dry place. If deep cleaning is required, place in cold water and bring to boil. Let simmer for 5min and remove from the water. Allow to fully dry. Diameter Sizes: Thin for Tumbler cup Lid: <0.30" (7.5mm), Thin: 0.30" (7.5mm), Regular: 0.35" (9mm), Smoothie: 0.43" (11mm) Sizes are calibrated at + or - 0.04" (1mm)
